Departing from Alvar Aalto's precept of building 'things that are in harmony with the human being', CAPSULERIE returned to nature to look for inspiration on how to design everyday objects that are in harmony not only with the human beings but also with their fragile environment.
Honoring the legendary 1930's L-shaped leg design that led to the classic Stool 60 of Alvar Aalto, and inspired by the contemporary IKEA's Frosta stool, CAPSULERIE created 'FRAGILE FROSTA'.
FRAGILE FROSTA stool builds on the past's cherished greats, and CAPSULERIE's own previous 'FRAGILE' three-legged stool, by adding a piece of the present's natural fragile life, artfully preserved and presented in resin.
More than furniture, FRAGILE FROSTA is an invitation to reflection upon one's own interaction with the environment, and how to best pass it onto the next generations and life forms, while not forgetting where it all began.
